Professional Background
Parker is a 2022 graduate of the NC State Poole College of Management. While attending college, he played for the NC State Hockey Team and served as their President.
Upon graduation, Parker began his professional career with SportsMedia Technology where he worked in procurement. While Parker found it interesting working for the company that brought us those magical yellow “First Down” lines we see when watching football games today, it wasn’t a role that allowed him to fully utilize his talents.
In the Spring of 2024, Parker sent emails to several independent advisors expressing his interest in starting a career in financial services. His desire though was to avoid the big wire houses so he could learn the business the right way. That mindset along with his initiative caught our attention immediately.
On January 6, 2025, Parker started his career with Canvasback Wealth Management, LLC as our Client Relationship Specialist.
What Matters Most
As a native of Raleigh, NC I have lived here for most of my life. Having my immediate family so close in a city that continues to grow, I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
Growing up and watching my parents build their careers, I found myself wanting to serve others. That desire and my passion for personal finance made my decision to join Canvasback Wealth Management an easy one. As a lifelong hockey player, the same work ethic and tenacity that defined my playing career has translated to my professional career.
Having a strong competitive nature, I surround myself with sports. Whether watching, attending a game or lacing up the skates to take the ice myself, it’s what I enjoy most. In my house, we root for the Carolina Hurricanes, NC State Wolfpack, Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics any chance we get.
